Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Murata) has received a certified “Gold” rating in a sustainability assessment by the French company EcoVadis. Murata had received a “Gold” rating in the same survey in 2022, and this is the second consecutive year receiving this award.
EcoVadis was founded in 2007 as an international certification agency for corporate sustainability in order to advance the sustainability of global supply chains. The agency evaluates corporate CSR efforts in the four categories “Environment,” “Labor and Human Rights,” “Ethics,” and “Sustainable Procurement.” The top 5% of companies among all those assessed receive a “Gold” rating. Amid the increasing importance of sustainability efforts, EcoVadis’ assessment results are taken into account by many businesses when choosing suppliers and customers.
